I have made this website in the hope to reach genealogists, relatives or anyone else who might have information concerning my lineage, and who are willing to share this information.

I have been tracing my lineage systematically since October 2006 when I retired from work. Among the motivating factors were some of my early childhood memories concerning my father's family which I did not know much about. Some of they key members died when I was only a young child.Thanks to my uncle Jørgen Hansen who, when he was still alive, did extensive genealogy, I know a good deal about my mother's side of the family.

This study has resulted in both curious and interesting surprises. I have made contact with far relatives whom I didn't even know, and they have been very helpful sending me copies of old family photos and identifying people in pictures. I have located and visited the grave of one of my 3rd great-grandfathers at a conservation churchyard in central Bergen, Norway.

Through my website I have also located people in the US who are descendants of my relatives, who emigrated to America in the late 19th century, and with distant relatives here in Denmark and in Norway.

There are still a number of unanswered questions bothering me. I present some of these qestions on the website, hoping that you readers might be able to help.
